Apparel Development Services

Apparel development built around project feasibility.

ALTATELA helps brands turn defined apparel concepts into workable development and pilot-production plans—especially when the project does not fit neatly into one factory’s standard operating model.

Our role

We do not begin with a factory list.

We begin with what must be true for the product to be developed, approved and delivered.

A factory search alone rarely resolves an early-stage apparel project. A supplier may be strong in one operation but unsuitable for the material combination, sample intensity, commercial quantity or approval process the product requires.

ALTATELA reviews the project as a connected system: product definition, technical risk, material route, development sequence, responsible resources, commercial fit and production readiness. The objective is not to produce the longest supplier shortlist. It is to establish a route with fewer unresolved handoffs.

Where the project is viable, we coordinate the relevant development and production resources. Where critical information is missing, we identify the decisions that need to be made before sampling begins.

Scope

A development pathway, not an isolated transaction.

01

Project feasibility review

Clarify product definition, target market, quantities, timing, material expectations and approval criteria before committing resources.

02

Product development planning

Translate the available Tech Pack, sample or concept brief into a practical sequence of technical and commercial decisions.

03

Sampling and prototyping

Coordinate samples around defined questions—construction, fit, materials, appearance and production readiness—rather than treating every sample as final approval.

04

Pilot-production management

After sample approval, assess a controlled production route with realistic commitments, checkpoints and responsibility boundaries.

Where we add value

Projects with more interfaces than one supplier can comfortably own.

ALTATELA is most useful when a brand has a credible product direction but needs experienced coordination across decisions that normally sit between design, merchandising, material suppliers, sample rooms and production teams.

  • Mixed-material, padded, quilted or multi-process garments
  • New styles that require iterative sampling and documented approvals
  • Pilot quantities that need a project-specific commercial review
  • Brands that need one accountable development conversation in China
  • Projects where supplier selection must follow the product—not precede it
