How We Work

A credible production route begins with the right sequence of decisions.

ALTATELA coordinates defined apparel projects through qualification, feasibility, technical clarification, sampling and pilot-production readiness. Each stage must answer a different question before the project moves forward.

Apparel development review and production preparation
The operating logic

Activity is not the same as progress.

A factory may be technically capable of making one sample and still be commercially unsuitable for the production order. A detailed Tech Pack may still contain unresolved decisions. Our process is designed to expose those gaps before they become repeated samples, delayed launches or abandoned production plans.

01

Project qualification

We review the company, product category, target market, quantity range, development status and intended launch. The first decision is whether the inquiry represents a defined commercial project.

02

Technical and commercial feasibility

Product construction, materials, specialist processes, assortment, timing and likely minimum commitments are considered together—not as separate questions.

03

Resource architecture

We determine whether one capable resource can own the garment or whether knitting, woven construction, quilting, padding, lining or finishing require coordinated specialist responsibilities.

04

Sample objective definition

Every prototype or approval sample is assigned a purpose, required inputs, review criteria and decision owner before development begins.

05

Approval and costing alignment

Sample comments, material choices, size range, colourways, order structure and commercial implications are consolidated before pilot production is considered.

06

Pilot-production readiness

A controlled pilot proceeds only after the specification, approved reference, responsibilities, quality checkpoints and commercial terms are sufficiently aligned.

Decision gates

Not every project should move forward.

Gate A · Is the brief reviewable?

The product and commercial objective must be defined enough to identify missing decisions.

Gate B · Is the route feasible?

Materials, construction, quantity, timing and resource fit must support a responsible development plan.

Gate C · Is the sample approvable?

The project needs explicit review criteria and consolidated authority for comments and approval.

Gate D · Is pilot production commercially credible?

Approved specifications must align with actual commitments, assortment and delivery expectations.

Clear responsibility

What each side must own.

The brand or project team

  • Commercial objective and target market
  • Product direction, reference and brand requirements
  • Decision authority and consolidated feedback
  • Quantity range, launch timing and budget readiness
  • Final product and commercial approval

ALTATELA coordination

  • Qualification and feasibility structure
  • Technical questions and missing-decision visibility
  • Resource and responsibility architecture
  • Sample stages, review points and approval control
  • Pilot-production preparation and escalation

Start with enough information to evaluate both technical feasibility and commercial fit.
